Is anyone else tired of Politispeak?
Just a Voice on Main Street!
9:29AM January 30, 2013

Out here on Main Street , we are used to speaking to each other in a way we can understand and react, right?  When one listens to what I call "politispeak" or the way politicians talk, it's altogether different.  For example, I was listening to Secretary of State , Hillary Clinton's testimony on the attacks on Benghazi before two congressional panels last week.  One of the many techniques of getting around directly answering a question was when she was asked why the administration and state department didn't tell the truth.  She laid into the Senator, with calculated righteous indignation, reminding him of the fact that four people died, then asking the somewhat famous question, "What difference does it make?"  On Main Street, we can answer that question today.  It makes a difference because representatives of "We the People" are expected to be honest in their dealings and speech, and to be forethright when they have done wrong.  We are forgiving, but only when you are truthful.  We don't want our country moving forth built on a foundation of lies, with the full intent of keeping power.  Honesty is still the best policy, because we want to be based on goodness and  honesty, and that better still make a BIG differerence to us.  GS
